WHAT'S IN A NAME?

You may be wondering, what does our name mean and where does it come from?

Ti-Loup is a very common french nickname meaning little wolf, and Poule (also French) means a chicken. Still confused, right?

In this case, The Ti-Loup & La Poule Foundation is named after two very special children - Joshua (Ti-Loup) & Madison (Poule).

Joshua is a cancer survivor. Diagnosed in August 2001 with a stage IV Medullo Blastoma (Brain Tumour), Joshua was given a 30% chance of survival. Through his strength and courage and undaunting spirit, he battled through emergency brain surgery to remove the tumour, 4 months of intensive chemotherapy, 30 sessions of radiation to his brain, and 8 more months of "maintenance" chemotherapy. Joshua was 2 years old when diagnosed.

Madison is also a survivor. While she has not had cancer, she has experienced it. Madison is Joshua's little sister. When Joshua was diagnosed, Madison was 8 months old.

Ti-Loup & La Poule Foundation is named after these two outstanding & inspiring children, who will one day grow up to be outstanding & inspiring adults.
